The Royal Coffee Bar’s digital LCD display and its easy programmable push button technology make this espresso machine one of the easiest to operate and understand. Easy to use controls:

• Simply press a button for coffee or espresso.
• The backlit LCD digital display on the front panel display will effortlessly guide you through the preparation process.  You have unprecedented flexibility to:
  • Program when it should go on or off;
  • 3 pre-set (but manually configurable) buttons let you program coffee strength with the precise amount of water needed per cup (up to 12 oz.) and the precise amount of grounds (from 6-9 grams);
  • Program the espresso’s temperature with 5 settings;
  • Switch easily between the espresso or coffee options;
  • Program the energy saving mode and timer;
  • Preview messages (in 8 languages).
• Up to 15 bars of pressure is automatically adjusted for brewing or steaming.

Built-in Grinder

• Grinder offers 18 settings for fine to coarse grinding;
• Conical burrs provide quality, precise grinding of beans;
• Opti-Dose lets you control the amount of ground coffee you use:  One shot provides up to 9 grams and a double shot provides up to 18!
• Bypass feature allows you to pour pre-ground coffee into a special funnel so you can accommodate decaf drinkers without having to empty the bean hopper;
• Saeco’s Aroma System kick starts the aroma and flavor with a small burst of water onto the beans;
• Pre-grinding mechanism knows when to grind another round of beans so it’s ready when you’re ready;
• Keep up to 10 oz. of whole beans in the covered bean hopper.

Two Built-in Steam / Frothing Arms: 

• Pannarello steam wand dispenses foam or steamed milk in less than 35 seconds, simply by turning the knob to ‘steam’ and pressing the steam button;
• Cappuccinatore frother can froth milk from an external source so you never run out, and dispense it into your cup;
• Steam arm will also dispense hot water for tea or hot chocolate.

LCD Safety Indications Tell You:

• When you need to refill the bean hopper;
• When you need to refill the large 82 oz. water reservoir;
• When you need to empty the internal drawer for spent coffee grounds;
• When it’s time for the rinsing or decalcification cleaning cycle.
